General Manager, Dallas TX

Mighty Distributing System of America, a progressive automotive parts distributor is seeking a General Manager to lead our Dallas, TX distribution center.  Mighty is a nationwide specialty wholesale distributor servicing professional repair facilities including general repair shops, undercar specialists, automotive quick lube centers and automobile dealerships.  Mighty has been in the aftermarket automotive parts business for over 40 yrs. 

 

The General Manager is directly responsible to the Vice President of Company Operations.  As a member of the Company Operations team, s/he will have fully cooperative relationships with all suppliers, franchise personnel, and customers.

 

Education: College degree preferred or equivalent business experience

 

Position Responsibilities:  The General Manager will be responsible for overall operations of the distribution center, the employees working for the operation, and creating and maintaining good customer relationships in the field.  S/he will be responsible for training and managing inside and outside sales teams as well as other employees, maintaining full P/L responsibility and managing overall inventory. 

 

Experience/Qualifications:  Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of operations experience in the automotive aftermarket.  S/he will have an understanding of aftermarket distribution, suppliers and competitive programs.  S/he must be proficient with spreadsheet and word processing software.
