Tropical Shipping is searching for Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join our sunny West Palm Beach, FL location. $2,500 sign-on bonus! Qualified candidates will have experience with diesel engines, pneumatics and hydraulic systems.  Experience in all areas is not necessary; we will train the right person.
 Job Description

 

Maintains and repairs motorized shore equipment.Primary Responsibilities

 Performs basic preventive maintenance on all equipment. Performs tri-monthly inspection on all equipment and handles and existing problems.  Troubleshoots electrical and hydraulic systems on all equipment.Performs major and minor repairs on engines and transmissions. Makes quality fabrications. Job Qualifications  High school diploma and vocational technological graduate. Valid Driver's License - Commercial Class B with HAZMAT and tank endorsement and Valid Passport (or ability to obtain).Ability to 10% to travel to both domestic and international Tropical locations. Skills in mechanical/heavy equipment operations.
