IT Program Manager

IT Program Manager Description: Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities for
all technology and business unit projects within a program. Ensures
that program and project goals are accomplished and in line with
business objectives. Is responsible for managing the team that
develops and carries out internal IT and BU projects. Works closely with the user community in determining how technology might assist in addressing their needs, then translates these needs into system requirements and design specifications. Understands how to leverage applications for competitive advantage.
Follow Project Management Methodology' Review project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources' Develop program/project plans specifying goals, staffing, scheduling,identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources' Formulate and define technical scope and
objectives of project ' Coordinate assignment of project personnel' Assign duties and responsibilities to project personnel' Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget' Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules and plans as required. Monitor project results against technical specifications. Develop and maintain technical and project documentation. Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle. Communicate plans, status, and issues to higher levels of management

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to manage internal and external development projects from inception to successful implementation' Solid understanding of current technologies,. Solid understanding of the software development process, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management. Strong analysis, design, and implementation experience with technologies.
Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations. Skill in
conceptualizing creative solutions, documenting them, and
presenting/selling them to senior management' Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations' Ability to develop and deliver projects using leading-edge technology' Solid project
management skills with ability to multi-task and manage multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment' Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems' Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Pay Rate: $55.00 - $60.00 Hourly DOE
