Toyota Engineering & Manufacturing North America (TEMA) is the headquarters for Toyota’s North American manufacturing and engineering operations, which includes 11 locations across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The headquarters was established in 1996 and has grown to over 1500 team members. Toyota's North American growth and stability continues as two new locations are currently under construction. TEMA manufactures the Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Sequoia, Sienna, Solara, Tundra and Tacoma pick-up and Lexus RX330. TEMA provides centralized administrative and production support to the various locations.
Toyota is seeking a Technology Planning Specialist to lead and manage multiple business driven technology projects supporting different business divisions within Toyota - North America. This position requires an enthusiastic, hardworking self starter to plan and implement IS projects.
Ideal candidates will have a good balance of strong technical and business skills and a proven history of successfully planning and implementing large, complex IS projects. Candidates should also show demonstrated ability to lead, with long-term planning and analysis of IS solutions that support critical business processes.
Core Job Responsibilities:
? Manage a 18+ sites(11,000 clients) systems management system including the functions of overall system design and expansion, system and client maintenance, software and hardware inventory, query and collection building, application metering, application deployment, desktop remote control, web reporting, and critical Windows vulnerability testing and patching.
? Lead desktop antivirus efforts including the functions of actively monitoring and assessing potential threats, clearly communicating risks and countermeasures to management and help desk support staff, containing and eliminating virus infections, and ensuring that countermeasures are in place to reduce or eliminate rogue computers from the Toyota North American network to maximize AV protection.
? Lead various application upgrade initiatives including the functions of licensing and contract negotiations, user and technical requirements gathering, application package design, creation, testing, and deployment to up to 11,000 client workstations.
? Act as consultant/resource for various I/S project teams with regard to desktop security, engineering, and application design.
? Act as Microsoft Premier Support and Enterprise Agreement North American lead for contract renewals and licensing.
? Act as backup Level 4 support technician and system administrator for North American-wide mobile device (PDA) systems.
? Act as backup Level 4 support technician and system administrator for Windows 2000/XP Active Directory group policy and logon scripts.
? Provide input into annual operating and capital budgeting activities.
Requirements/Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
? 3+ years Windows 2000/XP Professional technical support experience with advanced knowledge of the Windows registry, file and folder security, local/domain user security, and operating system troubleshooting.
? 1+ year Windows 2000/XP Active Directory technical support experience with advanced knowledge of OU structures, AD security, local and group policy, and various scripting languages including Visual Basic Scripting, KIX, and batch.
? 1+ year Microsoft SMS 2.0/2003 technical support experience with advanced knowledge of server and client maintenance, troubleshooting, query writing, and application deployments.
? 1+ year MSI and EXE application packaging experience using InstallShield Admin Studio, SMSInstaller, AutoIt, and RTVReco.
? 1+ year Symantec Norton / Trend Mirco Antivirus technical support and administration experience.
? Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003 products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, FrontPage, Visio, Project, Internet Explorer 6.0, and VM.Ware.
? Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, VPN, IPSec, and thin/thick/web application architectures.
? Working knowledge of Blackberry, PocketPC, and Palm hand held devices, as well as Blackberry Enterprise Server and Extended Systems XTNDConnect systems.
? Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Windows 2000 Server.
? Working knowledge of the Microsoft Premier Support program and Enterprise Agreement licensing structure.
? Working knowledge of Lotus Notes 6.5.3.
? MCSE certification strongly preferred
? Experience with desktop imaging (Ready or Ghost preferred)
? Strong communication (verbal and written) and leadership skills across all levels within the organization
? Strong technical problem solving skills
? Good project planning & management skills
? Ability to mulit-task and adapt to new technologies
