Journeyman Shop Technician (Mechanic)
Hawthorne Rent-It Service (HRIS) provides rental equipment to the construction and industrial markets. After being formed in 1974, it has grown to 12 branches throughout San Diego County and the Hawaiian Islands. This division provides the rental of heavy and compact equipment such as:

Air Compressors Generators
Seeking Experienced Journeyman Shop Technicians to troubleshoot and repair equipment in the following areas within San Diego County: National City, Maramar, Escondido, San Marcos and Carlsbad.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform all Caterpillar and allied product P.M. Services.Perform all P.M. services to HMC fleet vehicles, gas and diesel.Perform minor and major repairs to fleet vehicles and rental equipment in the field and at the branch.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
On the job training in any repair situation.Completion of Diesel Program, other vocational classes in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical or hands on experience related to heavy equipment repairs. Related experience in the military (examples: CM, EN, 3rd and 4th Echelon mechanics).Valid Class C California Driver?s License (Class B for Lube Truck Mechanic).Furnish all hand tools required to troubleshoot and repair equipment.High school graduate or have passed a G.E.D. test or can provide verification of all formal classroom study or hands on experience related to heavy equipment repairs.
Applicants must pass a background check, physical exam and drug screening.
