A world leading Japanese Automotive Tier-1 auto parts manufacturer needs a Manufacturing Process Engineer, Mechanical, to champion change, to encourage open communications and to foster employee effectiveness. Salary Range $55 - $65K



RESPONSIBILITIES

As Manufacturing Process Engineer ? Mechanical, you will report to the Manager, Chief of Engineering, and be responsible for coordinating the implementation of plant manufacturing and production equipment to meet and exceed production standards, profitability goals and customer needs. Following are specifics:

 Initiate, develop and manage plant manufacturing and production equipment projects through all phases, including installation, acceptance, documentation and training. Develop plans and implementation strategy for process improvement on production equipment. Provide equipment-related support and training to manufacturing associates and technicians. Prove, analyze and resolve process problems in order to maintain or improve operations. Provide production, maintenance and sales functions with necessary technical and engineering support. Initiate, lead and manage academic research for process related issues. Create, review and modify AutoCAD drawings.

 

QUALIFICATIONSBSME Minimum 5 years experience in metal ME Familiarity with SPC and FEMA process Proficient in AutoCAD (CATIA preferred), Windows, and MS Works software Comprehensive understanding of product development practices, principles, procedures, processes Experience working with Kaizen or continuous improvement work teams Ability to build employee effectiveness, foster open communication and champion change Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals Lean principles background is a plus Local candidates preferred.
