Lands End Marina is situated next to Circles Restaurant, an upscale waterfront dining establishment, in beautiful Apollo Beach, FL. We are a family-owned marina that sets itself apart from others by providing a high degree of professionalism coupled with personalized service. We are looking for a certified marine mechanic who is skilled in the service and maintenance of Mercury Mercruiser and Volvo Penta engines, and has maintained current certification status for at least one of these two companies. We are looking for an energetic mechanic whose enthusiasm complements the members of the Lands End team and who enjoys a fast-paced environment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: -Responsible for the diagnosis of inboard/outboard, inboard, and outboard engine problems. -Make repairs according to accurate diagnosis of problem. -Perform warranty work efficiently under the allotted time frame. -Utilize resources to make a clean error-free repair. -Quality check watercraft after each repair made to ensure boat is in good working condition. -Complete paperwork thoroughly with each repair order. -Maintain customer equipment by performing preventive maintenance. -Tow-in and return boats as necessary for customers. -Exhibit courteous and friendly attitude toward customers. -Work with marina office to make sure daily tasks are completed in a timely fashion. -Assist with storage, tractor and forklift duties as needed. -Assist with unloading of new product from any delivery vehicle. -Maintain work area appearance after each job. APPLICANT SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS: -Experienced with Mercury Mercruiser and Volvo Penta engines. -Current certification as a mechanic for either Mercruiser, Volvo or, preferably, both. -Positive, upbeat attitude. -Attention to detail, thoroughness and dependability. -Enjoy working in a team environment. -Efficiency -Knowledge of any other boat/yacht systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical) is a plus.
