Mechanical Engineer

Supports development of car stereo systems / Sound System components for OEM customers (Big 3) by performing the following duties: Work on designing the sound system components using Catia V4 / Catia V5 software. Interacts with customer to collect all design packaging information / specification.Responsible for mechanical design to meet the customer requirements. Work with ?program team members? to complete the program.Coordinates communication between customer and Alpine design headquarters in Iwaki / suppliers (depending on program) to address hardware specification / mechanical specification / packaging / design  issuesDesigns test control hardware / mechanical  apparatus and equipment and determines procedures for testing products.Evaluates operational systems and recommends design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements.Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.Responsible for all functions defined in internal quality policy.Works on conceptual design for the engineering team Other duties may be assigned
