Mobile Testing Technician

There are openings for Inspection Technicians to service our customer base, operating out of each of the following locations:

* Columbia, SC
* Raleigh/Durham, NC
* Orlando or Tampa, FL

Major Responsibilities

* Provide inspection, testing and minor repair services (structural and routine) on all customer equipment. (The Inspection Technician completes such work at customer facilities or work sites.)

* With minimal supervision, and oftentimes working independently, complete inspection and testing tasks ranging from the basic to fairly complex.

* Perform all tasks in a manner fully consistent with company safety practices and procedures and such additional safety practices and/or procedures, if any, as may be required of the Inspection Technician by the customer when performing tasks at a customer facility or work site.

* Complete assigned work in a complete and efficient manner consistent with assigned productivity goals.

* Within the scope of the position, demonstrate a proficient knowledge of the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components of the product line and the inspection and servicing procedures applicable to such components. Keep skills and knowledge base current.

* Practice clear, consistent, and concise communication with customers, fellow associates and supervisors.

* Maintain accurate records.

Education, Experience and Skills

* High School Diploma (or GED). Job seekers who are recent high school graduates will be considered.
* One year experience as an automotive-related mechanic (no certification required) for the Inspection Technicians.
* Ability to read, write and communicate in English to comprehend and follow written policies and procedures and to satisfactorily complete the training required of the position.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* The Inspection Technician must hold a valid CDL license, or attain such CDL license within 60 days of hire date or date of appointment as an Inspection Technician.
* Flexibility in scheduling work is required as overtime and shift work may be required, as well as overnight travel.
* Willingness to develop computer skills necessary to complete tasks.
* Physical effort is required to move objects that may weigh up to 75 pounds. Frequent stooping, bending, squatting and kneeling are required to service and repair equipment.
* Service-related tools weighing up to 75 pounds must be carried to locations to perform the necessary service and repair.
* A high level of dexterity is required in the use of a variety of hand and power tools.
