OE Training Specialist

SUMMARY   The OE Training Specialist   is responsible for the development and delivery of  product, service, system, process and skill training to the SPX Tool and Equipment associates and customers globally. This includes new hire and ongoing training programs. This position is critical to the success of our rapidly evolving OE Tool & Equipment business. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

 
Work closely with subject matter experts (Managers, Sales Personnel, Product Managers, Engineers, etc.) to ensure complete knowledge of initiatives.
Establish trust and rapport with subject matter experts and associates.
Perform research and discovery on each new project.
Understand customer wants/needs and work with subject matter experts to suggest product enhancements and solutions.
Act as liaison between all departments to promote cross-functional knowledge
Deliver training presentations to large groups in person as well as via phone calls and e-conference
Perform and interpret ongoing Training Needs Analysis to create training programs.
Create new training documentation and updates existing documentation.
Develop and deliver soft skill training for the customer services team and others as needed.
Continually update knowledge on product, service, system, process and skill training.
Assist with the ongoing development of the online Knowledge Database.
Assist with the management and take ownership of special projects as they arise.
Effectively communicate at all levels, both internally and externally, including answering questions and inquiries with confidence and accuracy
Provide internal team and customer with feedback on training in a timely manner
Formulate and develop measurement tools to determine training effectiveness and progress.
Respond proactively and implement training sessions and materials to address new and ongoing training needs.
Review the costs of planned programs to stay within budgets
Assess the return on investment for the various training programs when appropriate
Organize training venues, logistics, transport, accommodation as required to achieve efficient training attendance and delivery.
Maintain a database of training sessions and associates trained
Arrange for the maintenance of all necessary equipment and materials relating to the effective delivery and measurement of training.
Work closely with HR to insure all training activities and materials meet with relevant organizational and statutory policies, including health and safety, employment and equality laws
Successful internal review and training demonstration for OE Sales Teams/Project Teams applications ninety days after hire date

 

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

? A minimum of three (3) years in a training and customer service (or similar) role with responsibility of adult education and customer support.

? Experience developing, nurturing, and maintaining both mid-level management and end-user relationships.

? Three (3) years of experience in adult education and/or learning and customer services.  Strong understanding of training methods, processes, standards, and tools.  Able to manage multiple work plans, schedules, resources, and deliverables.

? Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation and customer interaction skills.

? Automotive service industry knowledge a plus

? Computer networking/wireless experience a plus

? 1-2 years minimum work experience in related field

? Demonstrated ability to create or develop training curriculum

? Demonstrated experience performing Training Needs Analysis.

? Proven experience developing relationships and developing trust with multiple departments.

? Ability to foster cross-functional teamwork.

? A consistently positive attitude and the ability to navigate rapid change in focus and direction.

? Demonstrated ability to multi task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

? Strong technical and software skills.

? Demonstrated experience and ability to learn new software quickly.

? Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.

? Proven deadline management.

? Demonstrated ability and eagerness to continuously learn new skills.
