PROCESS ENGINEER w/high volume assembly, leak testing & electrical function testing experience

EXPERIENCE: will consider 2 - 15 years


REQUIRED:
.....B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technology
.....Experience with HIGH VOLUME ASSEMBLY, LEAK TESTING, ELECTRICAL FUNCTION TESTING

PREFERRED:
.....High volume automotive assembly experience with a Tier 1 auto supplier or OEM
.....PLC programming skills, vision system programming
.....Six Sigma certification, knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen events, ergonomics

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

.....Optimize throughput, process capability, and uptime of overall product assembly process
.....Processes: screw driving, crimping, pressing, vision inspection, differential pressure testing with air and nitrogen, o-ring installation, and electrical function testing.
.....Provide daily support of production by helping troubleshoot technical problems quickly & effectively, and following up with permanent countermeasures that address the root cause of problems
.....Specify equipment, tooling and gages for both current & new production
.....Design tooling, fixtures, gages, jig, and simple machines
.....Develop PFMEAs, Control Plans, Setup/TPM/Work instructions
.....Perform machine buyoff trials, Gage R&R studies, capability studies, setup reduction studies, time studies and DOEs
