PRODUCTION MANAGER - Automotive Injection Molding and / or Reactive Injection Molding



This is a rare opportunity for the right individual to join the management team at our TOP 10 Tier One automotive client's NEW state-of-the-art molding operation located 45 minutes west of Atlanta. Excellent equipment, tooling, and process controls. Well-trained, motivated, NON-union workforce. Engineers and technicians reporting to your peers will handle process, tooling, and equipment troubleshooting. You'll provide direction to the team leaders and production associates handling the parts and secondary operations.



An Associates Degree with at least 3 years of molding supervisory experience in a JIT/MRP manufacturing environment, preferably automotive... and strong hands-on leadership and communication skills are the basic requirements. Proven ability to apply continuous improvement and plant floor problem-solving techniques. Must have a successful record of demonstrated leadership skills with a workforce of 20+ employees, be PC literate, and possess a general working knowledge of shop floor scheduling. Prior experience molding (injection or RIM) 'Class A' automotive components in high tonnage presses is a definite plus!

SCOPE/RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage molding production in a high volume, high quality manufacturing plant. Develop team leaders, avoid & resolve production bottlenecks, improve productivity, and handle personnel issues regarding safety, scheduling, and discipline. Prepare and analyze performance reports, take the productivity improvement initiative and make presentations to the senior management team. Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
