Painter

 Cummins Southern Plains, Ltd. is one of the largest distributors of Cummins engines and power generation equipment in the United States. Based in Arlington, Texas we are a privately held company with nearly 500 employees and 11 locations throughout Texas and Oklahoma. Our business operations include wholesale parts distribution, retail parts sales, engine and power generation equipment sales, and maintenance and repair of diesel and alternative fueled engines, power generation equipment, transmissions and other related products.

 

Currently we are looking for a Painter for our Arlington Branch.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



 

Paint engines, generators, brackets, and components according to customer specifications.



 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



 

1. Paint engines, generators, brackets, and components according to customer specifications.

 

2. Maintain inventory of paint and related products.

 

3. Participate in keeping shop area clean at all times.

 

4. Routinely perform maintenance on paint equipment to assure safe and efficient operation at all times.

 

5. Assist in the fabrication and welding areas as necessary.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

 

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.

 

2. Working knowledge of paint products.

 

3. Basic knowledge of proper disposal of paint wastes.

 

4. Ability to perceive and blend color shades.

 

5. Able to operate forklift and hoist.
