Parts Manager for Construction Equipment Dealership

Coastline Equipment, the John Deere Construction Equipment dealership for Southern California is seeking an experienced Parts Manager for its Long Beach, CA location.

 

Coastline Equipment is a privately owned dealership with 8 locations covering Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Kern Counties. The Long Beach branch also serves as our Corporate Headquarters. We are a full service dealership offering Sales, Rentals, Parts and Service. We are an authorized distributor for Deere construction equipment, Deere commercial work site products, Hitachi construction and mining equipment, Euclid trucks, Trail King trailers, Stanley/Labounty products, Liebherr crawler cranes, and Tadano rough terrain cranes.

 

Candidates for the position must have 5 years or more of parts management experience. Our Long Beach Parts Manager is responsible for the department in Long Beach, and two satellite locations located in Santa Ana and Sylmar. In addition, our manager has responsibly for two outside parts sales representatives. The total department has approx. 15 employees.

 

Example duties for the position include all day-to-day operations (including P&L responsibilities), safety compliance, maintaining customer satisfaction (both external customers as well as the dealership's Service Department), employee training and development, and controlling department expenses.

 

Candidates must have excellent communication skills to be able to interact effectively with customers, other departments and fellow employees. Compensation is comprised of a salary plus an incentive program. The salary is based upon qualifications.
