Product Design Engineer

Successful and well respected Global Automotive Supplier is growing and is seeking a Product Design Engineer. Essential Job Duties: Designs and develops new products and product improvements. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products. Integrate product technologies with other vehicle systems. Works with engineering functions, suppliers, plant personnel and others to implement cost reduction, methods and product improvements, and to support build programs. Communicates information to and from internal and external customer organizations. Coordinates and consults with departments outside engineering, such as manufacturing, sales, purchasing, and quality. Ability to execute engineering process consistently within time and delivery constraints.  

Qualifications: 2-3 years experience with steering systems or automotive chassis. Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering. Ability to travel as required, including overseas travel. Good communication skills,verbal and written. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings. Knowledgeable in Automotive processes such as APQP, PPAP, MSA and FMEA. Strong PC skills, including proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Possess ability to handle multiple complex tasks.
