Project Manager - New American Manufacturers

This position is responsible for developing, managing and coordinating the effort to significantly increase the engagement of the designated new automotive manufacturers with an emphasis on Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, BMW and Nissan, and their key suppliers.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

? Developing relationships with key executives and decision makers at targeted NAM companies and their suppliers, including visits to their Headquarters, engineering and manufacturing facilities, while coordinating with others at SAE who have established similar relationships with them

? Identifying products and services in conjunction with SAE Business Unit Leaders that SAE may be able to provide NAM companies, as well as identifying additional opportunities for partnership with SAE

? Developing comprehensive NAM/key supplier business plan, with breakout plans for the targeted companies that includes details on how to greatly increase the amount of business they do with SAE and their involvement in SAE

? Working closely with other SAE Business Unit Leaders to implement the business plan

? Researching the objectives, culture and history of each of the companies and educate SAE staff

? Identifying resources to support the required activities

? Contributing to the achievement of SAE's organizational goals

? Additional projects as assigned

 QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

? Bachelors degree and at least 3 years of experience in the mobility or related field, required

? Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business, preferred

? Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen

? Ability to interact with the highest level of industry executives

? Ability to motivate individuals and groups to accomplish SAE?s goals without any direct authority over their performance

? Knowledge of, and experience with the NAM target companies and their suppliers, preferred

? Thorough knowledge of all aspects of SAE?s products and services and the ability to communicate their benefits

? Strong planning and organizational skills

? Demonstrates initiative

? Ability to travel at least 35% of the time
