Quality Engineer - IN

"QUALITY ENGINEER, SUPERVISOR" Kelly Automotive Services Group is currently seeking a "Quality Engineer Supervisor" to work with one our automotive customers located in South Indianapolis, IN area.

Job description:

Responsible for establishing standards for PPAP/APQP to meet Original Equipment requirements for molded interior parts for SUV''s and vans. Ensure that suppliers to the Tier I operations meet product release criteria, documentation, review and ensure compliance of product documentation, train plant personnel, set inspection guidelines and quality standards. Provide liaison support to Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Product Design
Purchasing and Suppliers.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

* Apply the Advanced Product Quality Process with an emphasis on maintaining the required documentation and files.
* Train, support and facilitate product quality engineering process.
* Comprehend and coordinate delivery of validation testing samples.
* Must be open to supervising shift personnel

Skills:

* Employ/utilize diversified knowledge of quality engineering principles and practices to produce and coordinate solutions to problems.
* Validate and approve supplier manufacturing processes (equipment and training) and quality systems.
* Improve quality performance of suppliers by conducting audits, workshops, and providing technical assistance in developing acceptable quality systems/standards.

Required Education:

* College degree with major in Engineering (or equivalent)

Preferred Qualification:

*Experience with automotive parts manufacturing at Tier I or II level in Quality Engineering.
