Quality Engineering Manager

BASIC PURPOSE:
Job Summary:
Responsible for directing and managing the Quality Engineering department and insuring that the products and services supplied meet customer and regulatory approval. Responsible for comunicating customers requirements and expectations throughout the organization and developing systems to meet them. Customer representative for the TS16949 system.

Job Responsibilities:
Utilize knowledge and leadership skills to assist in providing products and services that are World Class. Ascertain the needs of current and future customers and in conjunction with the Director of Quality, develop a vision to meet them. Represent the company through extensive interface with customers at all levels. Provide leadership and motivation at all levels of the organization to meet the quality requirements of our customers. Provide customer representation for the TS16949 system. Responsible for quality logistics.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Must have strong interpersonal skills and have demonstrated the ability to manage projects and teams. Must be able to represent company well in a hostile environment. Must have extensive customer relations experience and in depth knowledge of automotive requirements. The position requires the ability to analyze and understand all aspects of the operation and use motivational skills to drive improvement. Need advanced technical knowledge of Statistical Process Control, Quality Improvement Models, Problem Identification Techniques, Quality Improvement Tools, Group Problem Solving Techniques and awareness of internal and external customers.
Recommended: Quality Engineer, Reliability Engineer and Quality Auditor Certifications. (ASQC) Knowledge of Experimental Methodology (design of experiments), Training Methods, detailed product product experience. Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing experience.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent.
