Report Writer / Data Analyst

LeasePlan is looking to hire motivated and hard working individual for to fill a position as Report Writer/Data Analyst within our Business Intelligence Reporting department. The ideal candidate will be quality focused, responsible in meeting deadlines, a problem solver and a long term player that will benefit from and contribute to LeasePlan?s strategic growth. This position offers the ability to work as a member of LeasePlan?s reporting team creating custom reporting for our internal users and external clients.

 

The primary focus of the Report Writer/Data Analyst is to develop ad-hoc and standardized reports to satisfy end user requirements throughout the organization. In addition to developing new reports, duties also will include the ongoing maintenance and support of existing reports.

 

This position requires working independently and within a team environment under tight deadlines, and the ability to shift focus between multiple projects quickly. Main responsibilities include analyzing report requirements, developing and testing reports, putting reports into production and documenting reporting processes.

 

General Responsibilities:

?  Work closely with all levels of staff and clients to determine reporting needs and requirements.

?  Investigate and analyze complex data and develop reports to integrate, extract and present data in the desired results from multiple data tables.

?  Ensure that reports support the overall scope of LeasePlan?s business strategies.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

?  One to two years professional experience in data analysis and report design/development.

?  Proficiency in SQL reporting programs and tools, preferably in at least one of the following: Showcase, Sequel ViewPoint, Crystal Reports, Business Objects or MS Reporting Services.

?  In-depth knowledge and experience with relational database concepts and query tools.

?  Sound knowledge of SQL and data extraction methodologies.

? Clear and concise communications skills, with the ability to articulate to users and clients in business terms they can understand.

? Ability to develop and/or follow standards for procedures and documentation.

?  College degree preferred, but not necessary.

?  Must be able to work on multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision and also to function effectively as a team member.

?  Must communicate effectively with all levels of staff.

?  Must be able to make decisions within the scope of work and meet project deadlines.
