Sales Engineer - Account Manager

On behalf of our client we are searching for a Sales Engineer - Account Manager to work on several electronic related GM programs.  Strong growth in market share and new production development have resulted in the need to add additional Sales staff.  This is a direct position with a growing supplier within the Detroit metro area.  Your main goal will be to manage specific GM accounts in order to retain existing sales volume as well as increase new business base.

  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1.  Establish and maintain contact with OEM customers / Tier 1 suppliers, including engineering, purchasing, SQA and other areas of customer management to develop new business while sustaining current business

2.  Responsible for coordinating product business with corporate engineering, purchasing, SQA and upper management.

3.  Provide timely communication to OEM customer / Tier 1 suppliers and internal departments when changes occur which effect customer?s product or business

 



  EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

 

? Three (3) to eight (8) years of electronics automotive OEM sales contact including engineering, purchasing and SQA.  Sales to GM is preferred.

? BSEE preferred or related engineering discipline

? Knowledge of OEM structure including platform management, engineering, purchasing, quality parameters, product knowledge.

? Knowledge of ISO 9000 quality System Requirement.

? Very good organization skills.

? Team oriented.

? Strong interpersonal/communicaton skills.
