Android Industries is a world class automotive assembler integrator/parts sequencer based in Southeastern Michigan.  We are a successful growth oriented leader in the fast paced, quickly expanding sequencing and modular assembly segment of the American automotive industry.  We currently have an immediate opening for a Shift Leader at our Delta Township (Lansing), MI facility for both 1st shift and 2nd shift. Our goal is to promote or hire the person who best meets Android?s expectations for the position.

 

The Ai facility in Delta Township (Lansing), MI is looking for a Shift Leader to provide effective leadership of production and material handling operations, drive short and long term goals, administer operating systems to manage all production operations, and ensure compliance to our quality policies, values, and philosophies.

 

The Shift Leader will work in a very fast-paced, JIT manufacturing environment.  This is a ?hands-on? position in which the shift leader will be responsible for high volume materials handling.  The qualified candidate should have an understanding of automotive assembly plants. 

 

Job Requirements:5 plus years supervisory experience in the automotive industry preferably in a lean manufacturing operation or high volume materials handling with proven supervisory skills in a union environment Self motivator who pays close attention to detail Able to work in a fast paced environment and make solid decisions in pressure situations Demonstrates a ?can do? attitude Must be willing to listen to issues that arise and come up with actionable solutions

 

Other Qualifications:Possess working knowledge of the QS 9000 Quality systems Effective written oral communication skills Ability to resolve complex interpersonal issues Must be organized, focused, logical, and a creative problem solverAppreciates a flexible work schedule Demonstrates an exceptional work ethic Other requirements will be given during the interview process Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment and work well with others Bachelor's degree preferred in one of the following: Business Management, Industrial Psychology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
