Specialist, Parts Supply Factory II

 

Procures parts on time and monitors shipments, delivery and imposting. Provides necessary feedback to related parties to secure the timely procurement. Expedites shipments (e.g. conversion from sea to air and rush request to freight forwarder) to prevent and/or resolve a back order situation. Monitors local suppliers and Nissan Parts Redistribution Center (NPRC) components supply to ensure kit levels are appropriate, and expedites shipments when required. Verifies and modifies part coding where necessary (shipment module, stocking code, restriction code, etc.). Monitors demand trends and makes recommendations for forecast type change to support future expected demand. As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative. Knowledge of inventory control processes and procedures. Understanding of statistical analysis, parts forecasting methodologies, and associated system software.

 

Solid interpersonal and communication skills. Eight or more years of increasingly responsible administrative experience, plus one or more years of related experience. No responsibility for managing or supervising others. Professional Certification or an AA degree. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars and in-house classroom training. Advanced knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to create specialized applications or products of a highly technical nature. Infrequent day and overnight travel.
