Sr. Mfg Engineer

Cadence Innovation is a global automotive Tier One supplier who combines people, processes and technology to make our customers? products faster, lighter, stronger, better and at a lower cost.  Our product centers design, develop and manufacture instrument panels/cockpits, door modules, fascias and cargo management systems.  We are searching for an exceptional Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join an exceptional organization.

This individual is accountable for planning, directing and the coordination of all manufacturing processes for this injection molding and assembly facility.  S/he will analyze and plan the utilization of manufacturing equipment for maximum efficiency, manage engineering changes incorporated in the manufacturing process and utilize expertise in secondary equipment (sonic/vibrations welders, DC driven torque units, etc.).  In addition this person will participate in continuous improvement initiatives, compliance to all safety, housekeeping and company policies and procedures, have hands-on knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and Value Thinking with a synergistic focus toward problem resolution through a team environment.  S/he will spend significant amount of time on the manufacturing floor teaming with all levels of staff and support the launch of new programs.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree strongly preferred, Masters a plus.  Must have 5+yrs of automotive engineering of injection molding and secondary manufacturing process within a plant environment.  Demonstrated experience in effective training of production staff.  Have a successful track record of lean manufacturing. Proficient computer skills MS Office, MS Project, robotic programming (ABB/AEC), etc.  Must have solid analytical and statistical problem solving skills.  Superb written and verbal communication and willing to travel and work extended hours to complete tasks.
