Surfacing Technician

Job Description:

 

Set-up equipment, supplies, performs and direct, and/or provide assistance to projects

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

?  Fit and gap any and all exterior accessories

 

?  Prepare surface exterior to its proper highlight; prepare areas to proper level for paint

 

?  Gap, surface, trim and fit complete interior (panels)

 

?  Apply poly-surfacer agent and primers; know how to mix materials correctly

 

?  Perform clean-up of equipment

 

?  Adhere to safety guidelines, at all times, including the handling of hazardous materials

 

Skills/Education Required for Position:

 

?  High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

 

?  Must supply own hand tools

 

?  Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

 

?  Minimum eight years industry-related experience

 

?  Spray booth and prep station knowledge essential

 

?  Properly trained on the handling of hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and waste through the hazard communication program
