Systems Development Engineer, Vehicle (1195)

Our Vehicle Engineering Practice provides a wide range of vehicle evaluation and testing services. We have worked with automobiles, buses, trucks, vans, bicycles, trailers, motorcycles, trains, forklifts, tractors, cranes, mining and construction equipment, ATVs, golf carts, and more. Some of our services include the following:

? Accident reconstruction
? Component testing and evaluation
? Design analysis
? Vehicle handling analysis and testing
? Product development
? Product validation testing
? Crash testing
? Occupant kinematics and injury analysis
? Human performance assessment

The individual in this position will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining NI Labview software systems for communication and control of electronic instrumentation and electro/servo-mechanical systems in a test laboratory as well as designing, developing, and maintaining MS Access database systems for information processing of laboratory data. Additional responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining Visual Basic software systems for setup and execution of laboratory systems as well as assisting with the design, build, setup, and troubleshooting of electronic instrumentation and electro/servo-mechanical systems.

Qualifications for this position include:
? BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
? 2+ years of application programming experience with NI Labview, MS Access, Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications, Windows API, and real-time operating software systems
? Must be motivated, hardworking as well as detail and task oriented
? Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Must be a team player and problem solver
? Must enjoy a challenging, fast pace, and hands-on work environment
? Knowledge of IEEE and ANSI standards a plus
? Embedded software programming, micro-controllers, CAN (Controller Area Network), and computer networking also a plus
