 AML Manager, International Mount Laurel, NJ 

Position is responsible to ensure that compliance risks are adequately identified, assessed, monitored, and controlled in partnership between the business unit and AML Department; that Board and senior management are fully informed of International AML policies and procedures; and that regulatory expectations are met and reflect industry standards.

 

Responsibilities Include:
Manage AML International Department activities to ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act through various methods. Prevent and minimize losses through review and monitoring of transactions for identification of suspicious account activity; monitor transactions with high risk geographies and high risk accounts on a regular basis. Assist in the creation of account based profiles that will more accurately predict questionable account activity. Plan and prioritize daily workload to meet department goals and objectives and regulatory timelines. Hire, train, review, and manage staff, using sound coaching techniques to achieve highest level of productivity throughout the department. Ensure Suspicious Activity Worksheets are filed in accord with Department policy and procedures, and that AML related changes are made to appropriate Operating Procedures. Confirm that Correspondent Banking customers and activity meet AML requirements ; establish related procedures for KYC when BKE’s are exchanged and EDD policies when Correspondent Bank is determined to be the customer. Communicate daily with senior management International Department and AML Team.

 

Requirements Include:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent experience. 3+ years relevant experience, including 1+ years in a supervisory role Proven ability to successfully build and reinforce essential programs within the department Demonstrates a high level of technical competency regarding Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act regulations and requirements, and knowledge of the basic principles of fraud and money laundering. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Not currently, but may manage 2 - 4 employees in the future.
