Assistant Vice President, Loss Exposure

This position is responsible for the management of wholesale Lending Division?s loss exposure. This involves working with the Legal Department to research/analyze transactions involving individuals/vendors and the potential legal actions necessary to recover or prevent further losses for Countrywide Home Loans and recommend the best recovery action. The successful candidate will be relied on to manage the Quality Control findings for loans, QVDQ errors and investor repurchase requests; identify, track and manage the financial exposure arising from poor loan quality and/or broker/vendor activities; and determine the need to terminate or continue to monitor the Business Partner. Other duties will include managing referrals to Legal for loan repurchases when applicable, in addition to performing other special projects as requested by Senior Management.

Requirements:
- 5+ years experience.
- BA degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of mortgage banking.
- Excellent managerial skills.
- Ability to organize and manage teams and work as a team member.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong computer/database knowledge.
