Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Risk Management

This position contributes to the Portfolio Credit Risk function through portfolio analysis and capital and reserve assessment.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Providing and maintaining various calculations, performing stress tests, establishing acceptable portfolio risk tolerances, identifying risk concentrations in the portfolio and recommending actions for managing these exposures.
- Forecasting losses and reserves, performing economic capital management and performing portfolio valuation.
- Recommending modifications to the credit profile of the portfolio through the use of pricing and underwriting guideline changes, mortgage insurance, loan sales and other portfolio management practices.
- Assisting in the development and management of the Allowance for Lease and Loan Loss (ALLL) methodologies.

A successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, Math or related subject.
- 5+ years working in a portfolio management capacity within a financial institution.
- Strong mathematics background.
- Advanced knowledge of credit cards, HELOCs or mortgage credit.
- Ability to proactively suggest ways in which credit scoring and other information-based techniques can bring improvement to the Bank's bottom line.
- Proficiency in software applications such as: SAS, Excel, Access, and Lotus Notes.

The ideal candidate may also possess:
- Understanding of programming languages (Visual Basic, C/C++, SQL).
- Knowledge of the laws regulating the mortgage banking industry.
