Administrative Specialist

Provides information to customers and/or Bank personnel. Gathers information from various sources and organizes into appropriate format. Compiles information into routine administrative reports. May perform basic accounting duties. Composes and prepares reports, correspondence and memos. May provide guidance and direction to clerical staff. Manages and maintains office files and records. Schedules appointments and meetings. Initiates and receives telephone calls. Opens, organizes and distributes incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail for distribution. May take and transcribe dictation. Types correspondence, reports and other highly technical/confidential documents. Utilizes MSWord to create, revise, store and print documents. Assists in developing, implementing and monitoring internal operating systems and procedures.



Minimum 3 years administrative support experience required.

Associate of Arts or Bachelor's degree desired.

Experience working in a bank environment preferred.

Knowledge of basic accounting principles preferred.

Ability to type 50-60 w-p-m required.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required to communicate effectively with all levels of bank personnel and clients.

Good analytical skills required.

Ability to perform basic to moderately complex arithmetic calculations required.

Ability to operate 10-key adding machine desired.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) required.

Strong planning and organization skills required.

Good project management skills required.

Must be a self-starter with a "can do" attitude.

Must be able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
