Apps Systems Engineer 6

Job Description: The Fraud Risk Management team supporting Credit and Debit Card is seeking a manager with strong system analysis, system design and data mining skills. In this role, the individual will lead a team of two and partner with others in analytical data infrastructure design and development projects, data research, mapping, and documentation, application development, MIS, program automation, web site management and other ad hoc support for the Risk Management Team.

The Fraud Risk team uses 12 data sources across various platforms, including many large transactional files. Duties for this position may include: design, implementation, documentation and maintenance of a fraud analytical data house; in-depth research of various data sources, identifying discrepancies, nuances, and other pertinent information; implement process to monitor stability, distribution shifts, illogical combinations of variables; manage fraud risk application used for a specific segment that provides high risk alerts to a dialer application as well as the Fraud Operations team; participate in the migration of this application to a WFS-run fraud detection application; provide MIS support, both new development as well as ongoing execution; independently seek information from the team and across the organization needed to be effective in designing successful applications; build dashboards as well as red flag alerts for high risk events monitoring, manage Customer-Based Risk Management web site; provide other ad hoc team support.


Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership ability; Advanced technical programming skills in SAS (on mainframe and Unix), as well as SQL; Large scale database design and management experience; Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, highly complex environment; Strong conceptual and quantitative problem-solving skills; Ability to write system specifications and project/test plans; Exposure to source code control and production scheduling; Shell Scripting experience; NDM; Endevor, CA-1, CA-7; Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; Ability to synthesize data from different platforms to satisfy business objectives; BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent (4 year degree) plus 7+ years experience.
