Area Manager-Wholesale

Responsibilities:
- Handles the origination of new B and C rated loan business.
- Provides service support to Mortgage Brokers.
- Conducts solicitation calls.
- Manages the loan portfolio by ensuring that all pre-funding aspects are complete.
- Conducts outside sales presentations and training seminars for the broker base.
- Communicates loan status to brokers.
- Provides a written report of sales call activities to the Branch Manager.
- Services special pricing situations and oversees pricing exceptions on an individual broker basis.
- Establishes and maintains a follow-up system for weekly broker contact.
- Maintains files on all active and pending brokers.
- Maintains current knowledge of the basic underwriting guidelines for B and C product lines and state mortgage broker licensing requirements in all areas covered.
- Conducts on-site inspections of client premises when requested.

Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in a sales environment.
- Demonstrated sales abilities.
- Proven business development and territory management skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication and time management abilities.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Wholesale mortgage lending experience.
