Armed Vault Custodian

The armed vault custodian receives, sorts, disperses, and accounts for vault cargo items.



Specific Responsibilities:

* Checking identifying numbers or seals on bags of deposits and/or change shipments against the receipts accompanying each bag, or against the listing provided for such bags, boxes or containers.



* Counting items, recording amounts and serial numbers, signing and dating receipts and manifests.



* Loading/unloading wagons or flat bed carts with bags/boxes of coin.



* Loading/unloading buggies containing bags of currency/checks.



* Sorting individual cargo items by route.



* Communicating verbally with co-workers and customers via telephone.



* Maintaining compliance with all policies and procedures in accordance with AMSEC requirements.



* All other functions as requested by a member of our management.



Requirements For Position:

* Ability to push/pull wagons, carts, buggies, dollies loaded with cargo weighing up to several hundred pounds.



* Unrestricted ability to repetitiously bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn and reach out.



* Ability to perform repetitious lifting of items weighing an average of 50 pounds from floor level to approximately 4-foot high counter tops.



* Ability to repetitously bend to lift items weighing an average of 50 pounds each to load/unload carts.



* Ability to maintain a stooped or squatting position for several minutes to perform the sorting function.



* Ability to walk continuosly between bins, vaults, booths, and counters.



* Ability to stand on concrete floor approximately 80 percent of shift.



* Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with co-workers and customers, and to read receipts, manifests and reports.



* Ability to sign and record numbers by hand to make entries on records and prepare reports.



* Ability to count, add, subtract and balance columns of numbers.



* Ability to meet State requirements for handgun license/permit.



Must be able to successfully pass the most stringent background checks in our industry including:

*MVR

*Previous employers

*Personal references

*Military (if applicable)

*Drug screen



Local candidates are preferred since no relocation assistance is available for this position.
