Assistant Branch Manager

Assists Branch Manager in the achievement of sales, service and operational goals. Under the direction of the Branch Manager identifies sales and performance development opportunities of branch staff.

Essential Functions:

1. Demonstrates sales management techniques, utilizing sales management tools and Sales Goal Action Plans.

2. Identifies and cross-trains staff for promotional opportunities utilizing Staff Development Action Plans.

3. Demonstrates and reinforces the sales and service environment by modeling effective behaviors, observing staff performance and providing constructive feedback.

4. Oversees procedures to ensure effective utilization of staff, directs the workflow and mobilization of available resources to meet the needs of the membership.

5. Collaborates with the Branch Manager on other supervisory activities including hiring, training, coaching, scheduling and providing input for performance reviews.

6. Actively participates in the planning, scheduling, leading and evaluation of weekly branch and department meetings.

7. Actively promotes teamwork by working closely with the Branch Manager and Branch Operations Supervisor to ensure support and consistent communication of policies, procedures and sales and services objectives.

8. Demonstrates appropriate lending skills in approving loans by adhering to Credit Union lending guidelines and reinforcing quality lending practices; exercises good analytical skills, judgment and decision-making in lending and in the supervision of lenders.

9. May oversee operational areas of the branch and/or function as the branch security officer ensuring up-to-date compliance and security training for all branch staff.

10. Performs any additional duties as required by the Branch Manager for the overall operation of the Branch.

Additional Requirements:

1. Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in business or related field. Experience may be substituted for education.

2. Previous lending experience required ? 3 to 5 years preferred.

3. Previous branch operations experience strongly preferred.

4. 1-2 years-supervisory experience strongly preferred.

5. Previous branch sales experience strongly preferred.
