Assistant Branch Manager - Encinitas

This is an in-store branch location and operating hours are 9:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Friday and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
POSITION SUMMARY
Assists Branch Manager in the administration, supervision, and operations of a full-service branch office. Ensures quality member service and assists in directing branch activities to achieve credit union goals. Assumes management responsibilities for the platform and/or teller area as assigned and assumes responsibility for all branch functions in the absence of the Branch Manager.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Maintains high level of member service by continually focusing on improvement in member survey ratings. Attracts new members and manages member and account retention. Acts as a resource for the platform/tellers on policies and procedures, approves checks and check hold decisions and resolution of Member Service issues. Assists in managing branch staff and establishing performance goals, allocating resources, and assessing performance of staff. Assists in selecting, coaching, evaluating, and developing all branch staff; oversees the training of staff in the areas of member service, products and services, operations, and interpersonal skills. Helps ensure training objectives are met and that Wescom University core curriculum is completed by all employees. Supports achievement of annual goals for service, growth, and other key areas for assigned branch. Ensures staff efforts are focused on achieving goals and aligned with Wescom?s strategic objectives. Supports administration of the branch budget and ensures expense control in all areas including salaries and overtime. Supports branch marketing efforts and provides remote marketing support for credit union products. Coordinates and/or conducts member seminars. Ensures branch compliance with audit and security standards, policies and procedures and loss prevention measures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor?s Degree preferably in business or related discipline.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of credit union operations, excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and presentation skills a must
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
