Associate Closely Held Business Analyst

Under senior staff review, analyzes financial statements and completes routine investment reviews for limited partnerships and corporations. Completes routine sales analysis and sells assets, following policy guidelines, upon approval from administrator. Performs internal valuations on closely held assets, and coordinates asset valuations that are outsourced. Follows up with partnership administration on the collection of Limited Partnership financial statements and tax returns. Responsible for collecting financial information for new or existing closely held corporations.

 

Major duties:

?  Analyzes financial statements and completes routine investment reviews for limited partnerships and corporations.

?  Completes routine sales analysis and sells assets, following policy guidelines, upon approval from administrator.

?  Solicits and obtains financial information from business owners, general partners, attorneys, and accountants for investment review purposes.

?  Under staff review, completes routine market valuations on smaller closely held assets. Coordinates closely held asset valuations that are outsourced.

?  Completes asset related research and analysis to assist Asset Managers in their efforts to eliminate, mitigate, or manage risks. Collects account information from internal sources, such as IMS and account administration, and adds to database.

?  Develops and maintains monthly schedules of assets to be reviewed by team members, ensuring that investment reviews are completed as promptly as possible.

?  Maintains unit database and updates financial and general account information on a timely basis.

?  Works with various internal and external sources to research discrepancies on client account closely held assets.

 

Knowledge/skills:

?  Knowledge of financial analysis or investment products, usually acquired through experience or finance course work, is required to complete investment reviews and perform sales analysis

?  Analytical, accounting, communication, and organizational skills are required to compile data and analyze financial statements

?  Personal computer skills are required to maintain unit database

 

Experience Required: Entry level, 0-2 years experience in finance and investments.
