POSITION OVERVIEW:
Position will perform Assistant Manager functions which include but are not limited to:
1. Works with the Branch Manager to ensure the branch’s objectives and goals are achieved.
2. Performs transactions for members: open accounts, originate loans, process teller transactions, resolve service issues, etc.
3. Ensures that all SOPs are followed and exceptions are supportable.
4. Guides staff in delivering service excellence.
5. Assists with the development of standard operating procedures relative to operational functions, as requested by management.
6. Manages the setup of all operations personnel designated to order cash from the Fed. Assists branch personnel in managing branch cash. Monitors cash drawer and branch cash limits for compliance with standard operating procedures.
7. Performs internal audits of teller operations for the branch to ensure teller and vault procedures are being followed.
8. Daily monitors over and short general ledger for outages. Assists branch personnel in resolving outages. Reports excessive outages of $50 or more to the respective Branch Manager, Regional Vice President and COO.
9. Maintains end of month reports from branch. (i.e. Cash Drawer Audit and Branch Operations Review)
10. Responsible for monitoring performance standards of teller functions. Tracks transaction volumes for tellers and prepares monthly report for Branch Manager.
11. Maintains working knowledge of all operational and lending procedures and regulatory requirements.
12. Other duties as assigned.
PREREQUISITES:
1. Two years of college in Accounting, Business or equivalent experience
2. Three or more years experience in the financial services industry
3. Must possess a working knowledge of teller and balancing functions, loan documents and processes, and deposit products and services
4. Proficient in Microsoft Products
5. Knowledgeable about core processing systems
6. 10 key by touch
7. Keyboarding
8. Ability to work as a team with other departments
