Job Description:
The Financial Investigations Unit (FIU) is seeking a specialist to conduct enhanced due diligence research on pre-defined customer segments considered high risk for money laundering activity and to investigate specific client records for potential BSA compliance concerns. Daily work will involve analyzing, evaluating, and documenting assigned cases to ensure that any potential suspicious activity is identified, compliance objectives are met, and quality control reviews are satisfied; providing recommendations for suspicious activity report (SAR) filing and possible disengagement of clients; completing all SARs to meet regulatory compliance guidelines within specified timeframes and to high standards of quality; acting as a liaison between enterprise-wide business units, Legal Division, Corporate Compliance, regulatory agencies, and law enforcement agencies when appropriate.
This is an exempt position. Business hours are Monday ? Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm; however, hours may be adjusted to meet business needs. Located in San Francisco?s Financial District, on the historic California Street cable car line and the 10, 15 and all commuter express Muni lines; three blocks from multiple Muni lines, Metro, and BART. Minimum Qualifications:
Desired applicants will have a BSA/AML investigations background with experience in bank operations, compliance or audit; experience using bank mainframe and web-based applications; strong internet research skills; minimum of 3-6 years relative industry experience; Bachelor's degree or 3 ? 6 years relative industry experience; effective written and verbal communication skills; MS Office Suite proficiency (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Issue analysis and writing sample assignment may be required of final candidates.
Preferred Skills:
Working knowledge and training in OFAC and OCC regulations and compliance, in addition to BSA/AML experience, is strongly preferred.
