BUYER - AUTO IIPurpose

Provide appropriate credit decisions on loan applications to our dealer base in a timely manner, both by phone and fax

 General Description

Reviews, approves, declines and/or conditions all loan applications while stressing excellent customer service, loan quality, and positive dealer relationships. May rehash credit decisions with dealership.

 

Essential Duties (Major responsibilities of this position)

60% Evaluates submitted applications and decisions loans in accordance with Company Underwriting Policies and Procedures

 

30% Provides excellent customer service to Arcadia Financial dealership base. Educates, resolves issues and rehashes with dealers via phone or fax on applications and documentation, customers, and additional issues as they arise.

 Builds relationships with existing dealerships in an effort to build loyalty, meet volume goals, and most importantly, extract the proper loans that meet the company's underwriting criteria.

 Maintains current working knowledge of market conditions regarding rate comparisons, finance source competition, competitor programs, and dealer associations.

 

10% Reviews booked loans documents for accuracy and compliance with original approvals. May visit dealerships to educateF&I Managers, General Managers, and/or owners on company's program and product lines.

 

May assist in training new buyers or other associates.

Sorts, files and verifies that all necessary comments are noted.

 

Performs other duties/activities as assigned and/or requested.

 Minimum Requirements (What is required to perform the essential duties)

3-6 years previous indirect lending work experience. Working knowledge of automotive industry with clear knowledge of how to read credit bureaus. Training or supervisory experience a plus. Must have excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.

 

Education: Four-year college degree in finance/business or closely related field preferred or equivalent experience required. 

 

Physical Requirements: Majority of time spent in routine office environment. Some time spent in transit by car to dealership.
