Bank Teller

JOB BRIEF:

 

Serve as a member of the KeyCenter team by being an initial contact for new and existing clients of the Bank.  Enhance client relationship by uncovering financial needs, and by using a resource network to provide solutions.  Incumbents will process in-center transaction while encouraging the migration of clients to alternative sources of delivery.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

? Actively enhance client relationship with Key by providing distinctive quality service

? Accept and accurately process all financial service transactions

? Develop and maintain a working knowledge of financial products and services

? Maintain responsibility for cash drawer and follow proper balancing procedures

? Support sales goals through identification of prospects and referrals to sales experts

? Meet established referral and production goals

? Identify needs of clients and partners with internal sales experts to provide solutions

? Act a resource to identify client servicing issues and to utilize internal support network to resolve

? Seek out clients and educate them on alternative delivery methods

? Ensure compliance with security and audit procedures

? Participate in LCA

? Assist with various activities as required

? Demonstrate commitment to High Performance Management by modeling KeyCorp Values in every internal and external interaction

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

? High School Diploma or equivalent business experience

? Demonstrate effectiveness in client interactions

? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

? Accurate cash handling skills

? Demonstrate attention to detail and focus on task at hand

? Demonstrate participation as member of a team

? Demonstrate ability to listen, follow directions, and identify the needs of others

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

? Two year Business Associate Degree or equivalent professional experience

? Knowledge of client relations and sales cultures

? Knowledge of bank products and services

? Working knowledge of KeyCenter network and internal support system

? Banking or financial services experience

? One year call center, customer service, telesales, telemarketing, or retail experience

  Continual keyboarding use throughout the day

 Lifting/setting items in printer throughout the day

? Cash handling:

  Continual counting/sorting of cash and coin

? Fax, light usage

? Photocopier, light usage

? Phone:  Continual usage throughout the day

? Standing:  8 hours per day

? Sitting:  minimal

? Travel:  on exception basis only

? Lifting:  Up to 45 lbs on an occasional basis
