Banking Relationship Officer

Santander is an International Corporate and Investment Bank located in Mid town Manhattan with Corporate Headquarters in Madrid Spain . We are currently seeking a Local Account officer to partner with our Global Account Officers.

 

Along with the Global Account Officer (?GAO?), manage Banco Santander Central Hispano New York Branch?s global relationship with its U.S.-based multinational clients.  Call on financial executives at existing clients and targeted prospects with the objective of enhancing/establishing the bank?s relationships.  Coordinate with Product Specialists and Local Account Officers (?LAO?) located in countries where the bank conducts corporate and investment banking business so as to enhance revenue generation and risk-adjusted return on capital. ____________________

 

Qualifications- BA-MBA preferred -4 years experience in Corporate or Investment Banking. Relationship Management experience a Plus

 

Bi Lingual Spanish Required

 

 

Responsible for all aspects of credit facilities booked at Banco Santander Central Hispano New York Branch.  Responsibilities include negotiating, closing, and subsequent monitoring of said facilities, to include compliance with all provisions of these agreements.

 

 

 

Direct relationship management responsibilities with select financial executives at assigned clients and prospects.  Responsibilities include introducing appropriate Product Specialists to clients, promptly and professionally handling client requests, and handling the necessary follow-up relating from client requests and client visits.

 

 

 

Along with the GAO, assist in the creation of individual client business plans, maintenance of the business pipeline, and the creation of the annual budget.  Pro-actively maintain the hoja de ?Preclasificacion de Riesgos?, which based on the marketing plan for the particular relationship provides the necessary credit lines to execute the business plan for the client

 

 

 

Establishment and maintenance of direct relationships with Relationship Managers located in the bank?s markets.  Assist in the identification, marketing, and closing of local business opportunities by disseminating information about the parent company and its business and financial objectives.

 

 

 

Responsible for establishing an outstanding understanding of the business and financial drivers as well as a high-level industry understanding of assigned clients and prospects.  Pro-actively deploy this client understanding to achieve credit excellence, assist in product idea generation, and in communicating internally.

 

 

 

Work effectively with other departments within the bank such as Legal, Compliance, and Credit/Risk.
