The Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation, a quasi-state agency, seeks a dynamic self starting Sector Leader - Financial Services to coordinate exciting new initiatives in the Rhode Island business community.  The responsibilities of this position include the following;

?  Present innovative programs within the Financial Services Clusters of RI.

?  Identify, define and advocate for regulatory and tax initiatives, alongside financial and workforce development programs that support the growth of banking, insurance and related financial services industries within the state.

?  Recruit from outside the state, additional financial industry-cluster companies and suppliers to encouraging them to become an entity in the Rhode Island business community.

?  Serve as the industry liaison and sole point of contact, aligning government and private sector resources to support a firm?s business plan.

?  Collaborate with the RI Department of Business Regulation to leverage existing favorable regulatory environment.

Requirements ?

We require a Bachelor degree with a concentration in Finance preferable with a minor in Marketing or related field.  Masters degree preferred.  Five years direct work experience within the financial industry with demonstrated ability to provide problem resolution and provide financial detailed analyses.  Skilled proficiency required with Microsoft software and other web-based applications.  Strong oral and written communication skills are required for extensive customer contact.  This position requires flexibility regarding business working hours, occasionally outside of a normal schedule and some travel.
