Must have a proven sales background with ability to aggressively call on new clients and sell bank products and services.  Must be located in the area and be willingly to become actively involved in the local community. Responsible for the business development functions of the Bank, including cold calling of potential borrowers; calling on customers and new prospects to develop and expand account relationships; develop quality referral sources; and participating, when necessary, in community and civic organizations and activities to enhance to Bank?s image and visibility. 

 


What you would do:
Market, cold call, and set appointments with prospective loan customers
Analyze the loan request previous credit and current financial obligations
Determine purpose of loan and method a of payment
Make a concerted effort to cross-sell to the customer services that meet their needs
Achieve production budgets and goals as assigned

 

Essential Job Functions

Develop new commercial loan business through the development of industry contacts; referral follow-up; calls and visits to new and existing clients; and participation in civic and charitable functions.

Service existing commercial loan accounts. Expand existing relationships by calling on customers and cross-selling bank products and services.

Interview loan applicants, investigate to establish credit worthiness and negotiate terms of credit extended including costs, repayment method and schedule and collateral required to secure the loan.

Monitor loan repayment activities and take necessary collection efforts on past due loans.

Attend loan committee meetings to present loan analysis reports; obtain decisions on loans and ensure proper communication on issues significant to the bank and staff.
