CRE Construction Loan Administrator

Job Description: GENERAL FUNCTION: Execute the Commercial Division's Construction Loan Administration Program for Commercial Real Estate. Responsibilities include helping manage and mitigate the risks of construction loans by providing detailed analysis of project budgets, documentation review, and verification of funds for disbursement.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Help manage commercial construction loan disbursements for Homebuilders and lot developments.


Represent the bank in the professional community by establishing confident, professional relationships with borrowers, construction management companies, certified public accountants, title companies, attorneys, surveyors, construction contractors, architects, and inspectors.


Review and analyze loan documents applicable to the draw process.


Track units using spreadsheets and monitor LTVR on lot development and residential construction loans. Monitor related loan covenants such as limits on starts ahead of sales, pre-leasing, phasing


Order and review appraisals.


Communicate with borrowers, borrowers' attorneys and agents, third party consultants and relationship managers about the progress of construction projects.


Order appropriate title exams.


Engage and coordinate construction progress inspections.


Possess current knowledge of common construction problems and possible solutions, and effectively communicate this knowledge to relationship managers, borrowers, contractors and others.


Analyze collateral requirements and complete all requisite forms to satisfying collateral requirements.


Complete forms required by commercial loan operations for disbursements.


Resolve any discrepancies with the AFS system.


Use AFS collateral system to establish, maintain and clear ticklers and documentation exceptions.


Appropriately use funding as leverage to obtain missing items or clear exceptions, in close coordination with relationship manager.


Communicate with borrowers and account officers about results of construction draw reviews.


Maintain files that reflect the appropriate level of review and approval, document the issues and resolution, and reflect the current status of funding.


Comply with the Commercial Construction Loan Policy and Procedures.
