PURPOSE AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Purpose:

 

To assist the Bank?s Underwriter in evaluating, monitoring, and maintaining the overall credit quality of new and existing loan facilities.  The ability to interact with clients and to work independently are key components of this position.

 

Essential Functions:

 Successfully spread and analyze business financial statements and/or tax returns.Have an understanding of cash flow reports, financial ratios, trends, etc.Spread personal financial statements and be proficient in cash flow analysis.Analyst must be able to identify recurring and non-recurring sources of cash flow.Run credit reports on companies and individuals to assist in the analysis process.  Conduct research on specific industries or companies to assist the Underwriter.Order loan documents and review documentation for consistency and accuracy.Create, maintain, and monitor all loan and credit files.Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by Underwriter.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND PROBLEM SOLVING

 

Knowledge of:

 Understanding of financial statements tax returns.Identifying and evaluating financial and other risks associated with business customers to enable a credit decision to be made by the Bank?s Underwriter.Basic knowledge of financial and spread analysis, credit and lending and experience working with various types of loans.

 

 

Education:

 BA/BS or 2 years experience in a related field.

 

Skills demonstrated by:

 Be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Moody?s or similar program.

 

Types of problems solved and decision making:

 Analyst must be able to identify recurring and non-recurring sources of cash flow and guarantor?s ability to service debt.

 Accountable for completing financial statement spreads on a timely basis.Accountable for conducting research on specific industries or companies.Accountable for creating, maintaining and monitoring all loan all credit files.Accountable for performing other duties and responsibilities as required.
