Central Cash Teller II (Coin Vault)

Receives deposits and incoming shipments of cash/coin/checks from branches and clients via armored carriers. check the bag total to the manifest to ensure that they match. Checks bag totals to manifest totals and initials for each bag accepted for processing. Receives coin deposits from branches and clients. Processes coin deposits via the NamSys Currency Controller software and Cummins JetSort coin counters. Checks the bag total to the manifest to ensure that they match. Checks bag totals to manifest totals and initials for each bag accepted for processing. Wraps coin by denomination on Cummins JetWrap coin wrappers and transfers coin to the Coin Vault. Prepares adjustment tickets for overages and shortages. Monitors the wrapped and loose coin reserves to ensure operating requirements (e.g., buying and selling) are maintained. Balances the coin vault daily to locate/eliminate errors, which occur during verification and processing. Accepts coin electronically from the tellers and sells coin to the shipping tellers based upon "pick lists" provided by the tellers. Maintains a vault register for all coin brought and sold and total coin in reserve. Cleans the coin sorters and wrappers on daily basis and trouble shoots minor problems.

 





- 1 year prior experience handling cash as a retail cashier or branch teller.


- Previous experience in the central cash vault area of another financial institution required.


- Demonstrated ability to handle large sums of cash accurately desired.


- Basic PC skills required.


- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.


- Excellent concentration and organization skills required.


- Ability to learn and operate PC, calculator, currency scanner, high speed currency counter, coin sorter, coin wrapper required.


- Ability to interact effectively with CNB personnel, clients and outside vendors required.


- Ability to type forms required.


- Ability to work efficiently in a production environment required.


- Good manual dexterity required.
