SCOPE:
Ensures First Federal?s image of quality and professionalism through a commitment to excellence in fulfilling assigned responsibilities. Focuses on the individual needs of each client, directly or through the support of other employees, in a manner that promotes long-term banking relationships and which reflects the priority First Federal gives to superior client service.
Under direct to moderate supervision, is responsible for teller window activities. Prepares and maintains teller window area. Processes transactions; savings and checking deposits/withdrawals, loan and collection payments, coupons, bonds, Bank checks, mail. Prepares and inputs Record Changes, balances cash drawer; follows Bank security procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of the job include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
? ? Provides client service in accordance with the Bank?s Client Service Standards and adheres to security and bank balancing procedure guidelines (internal and dual control policies); processes banking transactions according to client needs.
? Demonstrates appropriate interpersonal skills with supervisors and peers; conducts business in an ethical manner.
? Follows appropriate closing procedures.
? Required to meet cross sell and referral goals as set by management.
? May serve as vault teller.
? May balance ATM.
? May provide safety deposit services.
? Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:
?Minimum one year cash handling and client service experience in a retail bank.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
? Requires minimum typing and basic math skills.
? Must be organized, detail-oriented and possess ability to pay attention to detail.
? Must possess good written/verbal communication skills and personal computer skills; some analysis skills preferred.
? Ability to exercise considerable judgment, discretion, and diplomacy in all areas of responsibility.
? Ability to gain confidence of people, understand their needs/problems, and provide satisfactory solutions/explanations; Ability to make sound decisions to ensure client satisfaction and protection of the Bank?s assets.
? Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of Bank personnel, clients, and business associates.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSES:
? High school diploma or GED equivalent.
? CSR II -requires completion of STAR level I and II
? CSR III -requires completion of STAR level III
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
? This is a primarily a sedentary office classification and employees work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances.
? Employees have occasional exposure to irate clients/staff/public/private representatives in interpreting and enforcing policies and procedures.
? Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, typewriter, or calculator and to operate standard office equipment.
?The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes, and pulls drawers to retrieve and file information and lifts and carries reports and records that typically weigh less than 20 pounds.
