Client Services Representative

  Job Summary: Process various investment vehicles including Governments, Agencies, Money Markets, Municipal, Mutual Funds, UIT's, Stocks, Corporate Bonds and Options as well as Commercial Paper, Repurchase Agreements, Federal Funds and Brokered CD's.  Assist customers/brokers in realizing their investment needs.Client Service Representatives may produce fee income for the Bank, may cross-sell other investment and bank products to existing customer base and develop new business primarily through customer referrals. 

 

Responsibilities include: Process various investment vehicles to customers of Union Bank of California. Process investment transactions with the appropriate market makers according to established UBOCIS policies. Negotiate prices on behalf of customer base with traders when applicable. Provide customers/brokers with current market information regarding bid & ask prices, PE information, volume trends, and market updates. Provide and interpret financial market's information and with specialized knowledge assist customers/brokers with their investment decision making process. CSRs may cross-sell various investment products to existing customers in order to maximize penetration of customer base. Provide information to customers/brokers when new products are introduced. CSRs may solicit new customer to be able to refer them to our Senior Investment Specialists by asking for referrals from the branch network and from existing customer base. Educate new customers/brokers and prospects on applicable product offerings and the relationship between UBOCIS and Union Bank of California or the correspondent institution. Support other areas as requested or needed. Handle other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements include: NASD licensed Series 7/63 in addition to brokerage and/or technical work related experience from zero to two years.  Must have knowledge of all investment products, services, policies, procedures and practices.

 

Preferred Skills include: College degree.
