COLLECTIONS REPRESENTATIVE

Reports to: Credit Manager

Fundamental Responsibilities:

Your focus should produce the following outcome/results:

Portfolio Quality:

?  Be at or below the established budget for delinquency through direct calling activity.

?  Be at or below the established budget for write-offs

?  Meet or exceed the established budget for late charges and other fee income

?  Ensure that the Collection process is being maintained by third party company

?  Ensure the Collection and Workout process and protect the company against potential losses

?  All Collection processes are completed within the established guidelines


Position Description:

Responsible for the Collection - Portfolio Management Customer Service functions of the company including the following:

 

?  Responsible for the Collection of the portfolio

?  Ensure that the portfolio is being work correctly by third part collection agency

?  Call on accounts that are over 30 days past due

?  Work accounts to avoid write-offs and losses

 

 

Qualifications:

Education:  Associates/Bachelors Degree in Business

 

Experience:

 

2 -3 years of collection experience.  Preferable in a Bank or Equipment Finance Company

 

Technical/Functional skills and knowledge:

?  Knowledge of Collections & the Workout process

?  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

?  Computer applications:  Microsoft Word, Excel

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Regular office work with extensive use of the computer and telephone.
Site visits may be required to inspect equipment and customer environments.
