Collection Supervisor

 

The Los Angeles Firemen?s Credit Union has a wonderful opportunity for a Collection Supervisor to join the Consumer Lending Team.  This role is responsible for supervising and directing the activities of the Loan Support Department which consists of Collections, DMV Specialists and a Loan Assistant. 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

?  Provide effective management through hiring, supervising, and training of qualified staff members. Monitor staff performance.  Provide coaching and counseling.  Conduct regular department meetings to discuss problems and exchange ideas. 

 

?   Perform quality control on funded loans to ensure documentation is error-free and is in compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulations.  Perform audits on loan vault log, loan funder?s follow up log and DMV Title Exception Report.

 

?  Maintain current knowledge and understanding of consumer lending and collection laws and regulations.  Analyze department needs.  Recommend appropriate changes and/or improvements to policies and procedures.

 

?  Maintain and completes month end reports for Management and Credit Committee.

 

?  Supports senior management team with strategic goals and business plan objectives.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

2-4 years previous experience with collections, credit union lending and delinquent taxes.  Must be familiar with word processing, spreadsheet and data base applications.
