Commercial Credit Analyst III

The Commercial Credit Analyst III is responsible for providing timely and accurate company and personal financial spreads, cash flows and credit analysis from which commercial credit approval decisions are made.

The primary responsibilities include annual reviews of existing credit relationships, as well as conducting analyses on significant new credit opportunities and new loan approval write-ups. Additionally, the analyst will perform evaluations of loan approval packages for appropriate loan structure and conditions, identification of policy, documentation and compliance exceptions, risks and mitigants, loan grades and approval recommendations.



Activities will also include evaluating liquidity and collateral adequacy, including appraisal reviews. The position will provide assistance to the commercial lending area with covenant compliance tracking, testing, A/R monitoring and portfolio management. There will be participation in client calls on new and existing relationships Additionally, the incumbent will provide industry research and analysis and assist in the management and training of the credit department staff and operations. Special projects and assignments will be assigned on an as needed basis.



The qualified candidate will possess at least five (5) years of commercial credit underwriting, analysis or commercial line experience. Specifically, applicants must have solid credit analysis and strong interpersonal skills. Individuals must be detail-oriented and demonstrate sound decision-making and reasoning skills. Good verbal and written communication skills are a necessity. Intermediate computer literacy must be demonstrated in Word and Excel and financial statement spreading software. Must have the ability to quickly learn new software programs specifically utilized by First Charter. Solid loan underwriting, structuring and negotiation skills are preferred.
